Winter Frolic Dinner Plate / Winter Frolic Celebration Centerpiece Bowl (also here) /  Reindeer Games Comfort Bowls / Petwer Soup Tureen / Silver Charger / Stainless Flatware / Red Napkins / Amalia White Wine and Red Wine Glasses / Juliska Berry and Thread Hurricanes / Dining Chairs / Plaid Dress (similar here) / Sandals / Lip Color and Gloss

I have long loved this beautiful Christmas pattern so I am thrilled to present this Frosty Winter Frolic Tablescape to you today. Juliska’s Winter Frolic pattern is full of joy and whimsy.  We don’t get a lot of snow in the winter so I can only imagine some of these precious scenes!

Winter Frolic in Ruby is the sister pattern to the Country Estate in Delft Blue that I featured on my Thanksgiving tablescape. This pattern features charming scenes from a country estate during winter snowfall. The red is the perfect shade of Christmas red.

The piece d’ resistance is the Celebration Centerpiece Bowl which I have used to create the centerpiece. This gorgeous piece is truly breathtaking in person. I hesitated to fill it with anything because the inside is highlighted with lyrics to traditional Christmas carols with beautiful heraldry.  This would make a wonderful gift for someone who entertains.

I filled it with individually potted white cyclamen, one of my favorite winter flowers, and fluffy green reindeer moss. I highlighted it with a few pieces from my collection of mercury glass ornaments that you have seen featured on my tree in the family room. Using simple elements can still create a beautiful centerpiece.

I highlighted the table with a little bit of fresh cedar roping I picked up at my favorite Dallas garden store, Nicholson-Hardie.  They are my go-to for lots of home items.  I finished the center decor with Juliska’s large hurricane candleholders filled with fresh cranberries and white pillar candles.

On Christmas Eve, we typically have our favorite Mexican tamales and tortillas soup. These darling reindeer comfort bowls are the perfect size for this. I love mixing my different Juliska patterns together. The pewter soup tureen is one of my favorite pieces. The pewter ceramic Lionshead bowls that coordinate with the tureen are also a fabulous size for a winter soup. You can see the full set is this post for my traditional homemade soup and family favorite Honey Ginger Butternut Squash Soup.

For the tablecloth, I have layered my white linen hemstitch tablecloth underneath a shimmery silver cloth. It adds just the right touch of frosty shine. Keeping with the frosty silver I added a silver charger underneath the winter frolic dinner plate and the perfect Christmas red napkins.

I’ve used my every day silverware pattern to make cleanup a breeze. And as I was setting the table I realized I am missing several salad forks! One of my tips for entertaining is to always set the table early so you know if you’re missing any utensils. I guess I will be ordering more!

I hope this gives you inspiration for your Christmas Eve or Christmas Day table. It is always my goal to bring you something that you can easily re-create.

Merry Christmas!

Thank you to Juliska for providing the featured dinnerware, celebration ball and hurricanes.

Best of Travel 2018

2018 was one for the books in the way of travel for me.  This time last year I had no idea it would be that way!  We created so many memories as a family traveling to Mexico, Rome, Florence and Venice.  Travel is something our whole family loves to do and I can’t wait to see what this year holds!
