As you may have heard me say many times before, dresses are my go-to way to dress for any occasion and a maxi or midi dress can be casual or dressed up. They are easy to throw on and accessorize without a lot of fuss! I’ve shared How to Wear a Maxi Dress at Any Height and I thought I would share my favorite summer maxi and midi dresses for this summer.

Being only 5’2″ with wedges, I tend to gravitate more to a midi dress like this pale green Tyler Boe wrap dress which by the way is currently 50% off during their sidewalk sale! This dress is gorgeous in person and has the material is a cotton sateen and has a pretty sheen to it. It fits TTS and I am in an XS. Striped Midi Dress / Espadrille Wedge / Similar Cross Necklace / Clutch

Here is another favorite of mine that I featured in 21 Spring and Summer Special Occasion Dresses, which is  the striped midi seersucker dress from my friend Kimberly Whitman‘s collection for Antonio Melani at Dillards. The fit of this dress is perfection. The deep V neckline is cut just perfectly and the kimono-like detail of the fitted waist and self tie belt make it very flattering. It is still available in all sizes as well!

This denim smocked dress (which is more of a midi on you tall gals, but falls just about maxi length on me!) I found at a very sweet local shop here in Dallas called Avara. It has been very popular and selling quickly! I have featured tops and dresses and other style pieces from this store in What to Wear Fourth of July as well as 25 Casual Dresses posts.  Here is another one I might need to purchase! I love the tiered look and it comes in this really pretty pink.

J Crew always has some very lovely dresses.  This one I love which features a tiered, full skirt, sleeveless silhouette and come in three colors…white, blue multi and pale blue. You will love some of their other maxi and midi’s like this one and this smocked waisted pleated one in gingham which is currently 40% off!
