Asymmetrical Cable Sweater / Plaid Scarf / Fur Trim Parka / Tan Block Heel Booties / Leather Gloves
With the temperature swings we have in the Fall and Winter, layering is key. Today, I’m sharing some of my favorite layering pieces from Marks and Spencer.
Marks and Spencer is a UK-based retailer selling beautifully designed, high quality, clothing through 343 stores and online. When I was in Edinburgh this summer, Marks and Spencer was at the top of my shopping list. I was excited when they reached out to me to share their Fall collection.
I was immediately drawn to this gorgeous, asymmetrical cable knit sweater. The gold button and edge detail make it a stand out piece. I typically wear a 0 or XS. Here, I’m wearing a UK size 8. I could also wear a size 10 in this sweater for a bit more room. UK sizing is much different than ours and runs small in comparison.
And this parka! You know that I love army green and any shade of burgundy so this great coat caught my immediately. The plush aubergine lining and ruff on the hood make it really girly and fun. I’m wearing a UK size 8 for reference. It’s a great weight and so cozy. My fabulous photographer, Mary, said she is ordering one for her Switzerland trip!
One of my favorite ways to layer is a great scarf. This classic plaid scarf with the fringe detail is perfect way to add an extra dimension of warmth. I love to wear a scarf in the fall and winter. It is a perfect accent but also keeps me warm. I don’t know what it is but with a scarf around my neck, I’m instantly warmer.
I finished off this look with these booties. I love that they have a hiking boot look with a chunky heel. Being 5’2″, I’m almost always in some kind of heel and I know I’ll be wearing these a lot this winter. I typically wear a 5 1/2 in shoes and these are a UK3
Marks and Spencer has so many wonderful coats and jackets, sweaters, scarves and gloves to help you layer up for the season. I just may be ordering a few pairs of these soft leather gloves for gifts this Christmas!
Cheers to cooler weather ahead!
