It is so hard to think about Fall when it is still so hot. You almost have to “decide” it is Fall when school starts and go with it! I like to choose light fabrics in the best color for Fall transition: Army Green.
Deciding it’s Fall, can trick you into thinking it is longer than the 3 or 4 weeks of really awesome weather we get! When I’m wanting to dress like it’s Fall but not sweat to death, Army Green (Olive, Military Green, Fatigue, etc) is the color I gravitate to most.
This pretty silky dress with two-toned army green zebra print is a beautiful new design from Banana Republic. As I said, Friday in Best Day Dresses for Fall, they are knocking it out of the park, in my opinion. This soft, flowy dress is perfect for day to night on a busy day. It’s great dressed up with wedges or dressed down with flat sandals.
I love to mix shades of green, too! These cargo pants have been a favorite for years and are Fall style staples for me. I also have them in navy.
Whether you’re choosing a light cotton dress, silky top or light denim shorts, this color can give the feel of Fall and help move your look to the next season. I really do love this color! I think it is flattering to all skin tones and comes in a variety of subtle shades no matter what you call it.
I’ve shared a boutique below on these style ideas filled with great pieces to help transition your wardrobe to Fall.
