As you can see, the Kate is great dressed up or more casual with flat sandals and a woven bag.  It’s truly a chic take on a classic shirt dress.

Veronica Beard is another with an eye to chic shirt dresses.  Each season they do an iteration of  a shirt dress with an ruched, buttoned skirt that are uber-flattering. The Bell Shirt Dress in Black or White is a closet must-have. This dress has been in my wardrobe for MANY years and still looks great! The new version has a similar ruched skirt but straight buttons.  I also have it in the blue and white stripe version I wore to Italy…again in my wardrobe for years!  I have an older version of the white and have been thinking about the black for a few seasons.   I have two long-sleeved versions from YEARS ago that are still go-to’s when I’m at a loss for what to wear.

This modern popover shirt dress is one of my Spring and Summer favorites.  Super easy to wear as styled above or unbelted with sandals or sneakers and even a sweater tossed over your shoulders.  I’ll be pulling mine out this week!

Whether you are wearing a classic style with a self-belt or a shirtdress with a bit more style with a tiered skirt, you can’t go wrong.  This simple cut shirt dress  is a classic silhouette, almost like an oversized men’s shirt, is perfect for a casual day with cute sandals and a handbag.  Roll the sleeves up for an even more casual look.

I traveled for more than 36 hours in this great dress!  I received so many compliments on it…including from the flight crew on Qatar!  You know they see A LOT of “travel styles!”  I even got something on the skirt and washed it in the sink at the layover hotel and it dried beautifully!

The Betty Dress from Julia Amory is a FABULOUS midi shirt dress. With a retro feel, it fits and flows beautifully.  I’m ordering one of the new colors asap!  Deciding between this one and this one…might need both!

Tuckernuck Black Verdant Floral Chloe Dress  / Fendi Baguette Bag / Black Sandals

The Chloe dress from Tuckernuck is the most elegant update on a shirt dress and is wildly popular!  Introduced last Fall, it is available year round in solids and beautiful prints like the one above.  It has been a best seller for several months.  I know the new mini version will be a huge hit!

I love this chic short-sleeved shirt dress with a more full-tiered skirt that is very similar to the one above.  Adding a leather wrap belt gives it a fresh modern look with the military styling via the pockets.
