One of my goals for Alicia Wood Lifestyle is to inspire you in creating memories for family and friends through entertaining at home. Never did I think that it would be a national directive to stay home and that we would all be doing our best to do just that for our families. We will be celebrating Easter at home this year with a Blue and White Easter Tablescape.
My Easter newsletter filled with ideas and recipes is going out tomorrow so be sure to subscribe today so you receive it! It will make hosting at home easy and beautiful!
I created this blue and white Easter tablescape and photographed it the day I left to pick up my oldest daughter from college. If I look a bit “stressed” in a few of these photos, I am! I had 15 minutes with my photographer to get these taken before I left for the airport! I need to do them so that the garland and flowers were all fresh. Little did I know what was about to truly happen. How the world had changed since March 12.
I love the bright fresh colors and the promise of spring. It goes with the promise of hope and grace from Jesus Christ that Easter celebrates. I used gorgeous fresh greenery from my friend Elle at Gracious Garlands. A pair of her Myrtle and Podocarpus Garlands are overlapped to create the gorgeous Easter “grass” runner. The gorgeous cross on my mirror is also from Gracious Garlands. I have another one hanging on my door.
The tablescape centerpiece is my favorite blue and white bowl filled with pretty spring plants and a darling moss bunny to create an indoor container garden nestled in the center surrounded by other blue and white pots you’ve seen here, here and here. I showed you how to create an indoor container gardens like this last fall. My local garden shop, Nicholson Hardie, is still open because landscape is an essential business in our area. If you are in Dallas, they are filled with pretty plants and lots of Easter items and gifts. They offer no contact curbside pick up and also delivery.
Juliska’s Country Estate in Delft Blue and Puro Platinum are used to create the tablesettings. These gorgeous blue and white chargers are a great alternative to placemats. I use them for serving platters as well. They are a versatile piece in my entertaining collection. The Puro Platinum design was also featured in my Christmas tablescape. This simple and beautiful design is edged in Platinum and a great alternative to fine china and is dishwasher safe. The Country Estate pattern has been featured here and here, also. The simple glassware are part of Juliska’s Berry and Thread collection.
The finishing touch to the table is the beautiful embroidered napkins from Mia at Dogwood Hill Designs. She created the silver embroidered napkins for this tablescape that everyone loved! The fresh pop of pink is my signature and I love the fun they add to this blue and white tablescape. I’ve had these similar bunny napkin rings for years. They are a subtle nod to the bunny!
We plan on dressing up and attending our online service to help bring some normalcy to our day. I am sharing more ideas on Monday but I do love the pleated chiffon skirt or this perfect similar eyelet dress from Lilly Pulitzer. The bracelets are from my friend Taylor at Hazen & Co. We are partnering to give 20% off all purchases with code FEEDTX to the North Texas Food Bank.
Juliska Country Estate Charger / Juliska Puro Platinum Dinner Plate / Blue Agate Coasters as Placecards / Similar Container Garden in Blue and White Bowl / Wallace Grand Baroque Silver / Julisak Footed Goblets / Blue and White Small Planters here and here / Garland from Gracious Garlands
Creating an special Easter tablescape is a favorite item on my Spring To Do. Every seasonal tablescape I create is a labor of love and brings me so much joy whether it is Easter, Fourth of July, Thanksgiving, Christmas or even a summer evening with friends. I know all of these occasions will mean so much more to us once this pandemic passes and we are able to gather with friends and family outside our own household members once again.
I also hope you’ve enjoyed the Spring Playlist with Jackopierce. Be sure to give it a listen!
with much love,
Alicia
