I get a lot of compliments on my skin and questions about my skincare routine. Some of it I credit to good genes and the rest to high-performing, clean skincare products! I wanted to share with you my tried and true Summer Skincare Routine. With the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale coming up in just about a week, this is a good time to pick up some clean beauty products for your regimen! I have shared with you in the past my morning skincare routine and my nighttime skincare routine and also my winter skincare rescue.  It’s definitely time to update you on my current summer skincare regimen!  I test a lot of products and need to do this more often as I find new products I love.

Because I want to keep it simple in the summer, I have paired things down a bit. My main focus is still hydration and anti-aging. The summer heat and AC are really hard on our skin.

Morning Skincare Routine

My morning skincare routine is fairly simple since my skin is already clean from the night before. I cleanse with Beautycounter’s Countermatch Refresh Foaming Cleanser. This gentle cleanser removes makeup, oil and impurities but leaves your skin soft and smooth. Occasionally, I will follow up with my tried and true Ready Steady Glow Daily AHA Tonic from Ren Clean Skincare. The next step is Juice Beauty’s Antioxidant Serum which helps to fight free radicals and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles with CoQ10.

I love facial oils and my all-time favorite is Vintner’s Daughter.  This amazing oil serum does it all!  It has 22 organic botanicals mixed with essential oils that help balance and brighten skin, stimulate cell turnover and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.  Next, I add a layer of Revitalizing Day Moisturizer from Goop which has been replaced with Goop Genes All-In-One Nourishing Face Cream. I haven’t yet tried this product but can’t wait to see the benefits it has as well!  I then finish with either Juice Beauty’s Stem Cellular CC Cream in Desert Glow or The Perfector from BeautyBio both of which have 30 SPF and protect from the sun and blue light from computer and phone screens.

Nighttime Skincare Routine

At night my focus is hydration, hydration, hydration and wrinkle-fighting! First, I cleanse with the Beautycounter Counter+ Lotus Glow Cleansing Balm.  This is the first cleansing balm I ever used and LOVE IT!  It deep cleanses, hydrates, and on most nights, I again use the Ren Daily Tonic. Usually, I will take one minute to prep my skin for serums using my GloPro Microneedling Tool. It creates tiny micro-channels in your skin and helps it deeply absorb the serums that follow. I have been using it for over 4 years and truly believe in it!

Next, I use Beautycounter’s Counter+ Tripeptide Radiance Serum which they called Botox in a bottle. Yes, please!  This powerful serum visibly increases skin firmness and elasticity, reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. The plant-derived Retinatural Complex with bakuchiol which performs similarly to retinol without harmful side effects.  I finish with six drops of Vintner’s Daughter Active Botanical Serum which I press gently into my skin.  I let it sit and absorb for a few minutes then top with my favorite moisturizer Beautycounter’s Countertime Tetrapeptide Supreme Cream.  The last steps are for eyes! I use Juice Beauty’s Stem Cellular Anti-Wrinkle Eye Treatment to fight fine lines and dark circles.  (Thanks to having teenagers! Ha!)  I’ve been using City Beauty’s City Lash for several months and have gotten a lot of compliments on my eyelashes.  They are naturally long but with the normal stresses of everyday life, they can often get a little thinner. Now they are more full!  I have shared some before and after shots, here!

Clean skincare is truly important to me. We all try to watch what we put in our bodies but we need to also take care of what we put on our skin which is our largest organ. You can read more about why clean beauty is important here. You can shop all my current favorites in the Summer Clean Beauty Boutique.

Please let me know if you have any questions about my summer skincare routine. I love hearing from you!
