I’m excited to be working on a redesign for my oldest daughter’s bedroom. She has a love of all things floral and feminine so that is where we began our design plan.
We designed her very cute pink and orange room when she was in 5th grade based on this cheerful Trina Turk fabric. It has lasted well and stood the test of time but now that she is a junior in college, it is time for a refresh! (I’ll be selling these cute pieces so if you are in Dallas and interested, be sure to check my Instagram stories later today!)
You know that I love Serena and Lily bedding so she got on their website and immediately fell in love with this new floral quilt. So as with the other girls rooms, we are letting the bedding be our guide. I’ve ordered the quilt and the standard shams. We’ve chosen this white duvet with a sky blue border and matching Euro shams to be the foundation of the bed.
We are keeping her current nightstands that are cerused oak (white washed) with white glass fronts. These are the newer version of her beautiful nightstands from the same designer. I’m trying to decide between these lamps and these lamps to top them off.
I love a touch of Chinoiserie and this beautiful chandelier has been on my mind for quite some time. I thought I might use in in one of the other girls rooms but so glad I saved it for this one.
I’ll begin to share more of her room details and the progress we are making with you on Instagram stories and do a full post once it is all installed. I love to create spaces our family enjoys spending time together whether it’s our teen cabana, their bedrooms or our lakehouse, Still Waters. I’m hoping to get it photographed and share more details with you soon!
