I’m in a stage of trying new things, if you haven’t noticed. Last week, a print and this week a cold shoulder. I’ve never been a fan of cut outs and never thought much about trying a could shoulder dress or top. When I was in New York for Fashion Week, my good friend and fellow blogger, Tanya Foster, introduced me to the designers at Eliza J. I’ve long been a fan of their feminine designs.
Dana and Tyrone chose this great cold shoulder dress for me so I knew I had to try it. And guess, what? I love it! First, the fit of the dress is perfect. Their fit and flare dresses are cut exquisitely. This cold shoulder style also comes in a sheath version with a bit of sparkle. I’m wearing a size 2 but typically wear a 0. I love that they cut most of their dresses in Petite sizes, too. The Petite would be a bit shorter in this dress but I liked the length for this style. The cut out shoulders of this dress are really so fun. A great way to show your shoulders and be on trend if you aren’t into the off-the-shoulder.
I would wear this dress to a wedding, holiday party or even a date night at a nice restaurant. The ponte fabric lays so nicely and doesn’t wrinkle. It really feels fabulous on.
Tanya hadn’t tried the trend either so it was fun to do this together. Tanya and I always have a great time working together and have for more than 20 years. It is always so fun to do a shoot with her because we get to catch up and laugh a lot. The contrasting white band on Tanya’s dress adds an extra detail.

Hope you are having a great week! We are on our way back from Mexico with more fun friends. It was so nice to have a bit of R&R after a super busy few weeks.
