I’m excited to share my experience with CoolSculpting Elite at ResurrectSkin MD today. I sat down with Dr. Jay Burns, medical director and founder of Resurrect Skin MD to interview him about his practice and wrap up my CoolSculpting Elite treatment.
Over the past three years, I have really been working on my health and my fitness routine. In February, I decided after meeting with Dr Burns and his staff, that I wanted to give CoolSculpting a try to help with a stubborn area. I treated one area of my lower abdomen and have been so pleased with the results. Knowing of Dr. Burns experience with friends who he was their surgeon and also helping test CoolSculpting Elite before it even came to market made me very comfortable with him and his staff and the CoolSculpting procedure.
Dr Burns and I put together the video below to share more information about the services at RSMD and CoolSculpting Elite. I have included answers to several questions not addressed directly in the video below the video and I’ll continue to update these. I hope you enjoy the information and please let me know if you have any questions.

Questions I’ve received about CoolSculpting not answered in the video:
(These are my non-medical terms!)
How long does it take and does it hurt?
My lower abdomen was divided into 4 sections. The procedure took about 40 minutes for each set of two sections. It depends on how many areas you are doing. As far as pain, I was afraid of how cold it might be and it wasn’t bad at all! They put a protectant gel on your skin before the “freezing” happens. There is about 1 minute of uncomfortableness after the device is removed but it passes quickly.
Are you sensitive after treatment?
I was a little swollen and tender for a few days afterward so no slim-fitting jeans for me. The are is a bit “numb” for about 10 days to 2 weeks.
Does it only take one session?
Dr. Burns and his staff can tell you how many sessions you would need depending on the area or areas you want to treat.
