One of my favorite things to do is to meet a friend for coffee (tea for me actually) or lunch and get caught up. Tanya from TanyaFoster.com and I have been friends for a very long time so in addition to blogging, we always have a lot to talk about!
One question we’ve both been asked by some of you is about wearing wedges with jeans. I’ve actually struggled a bit with this myself. I don’t think there is a hard and fast rule. Tanya has hers cuffed and mine are cropped. I think it is personal preference because it really works both ways.
Being only 5’2″, I typically purchase a petite jean. These and these are my favorites. I feel like cuffing jeans makes me look even shorter so my preference is a cropped jean. However, most jeans don’t come petite so I purchase either the ankle length or I have to hem them. I don’t like to hem only because it is one more thing to do! 🙂 Cuffing them as Tanya has is really a great option.
J.Crew had a fabulous sale over the weekend and my cute top has sold out but was restocked this morning! I love the pretty color and shantung fabric. It has worn so well. Someone splashed water on me and it didn’t spot so don’t shy away from the fabric. I’m wearing a size 0 for reference. The ruffle detail at the top and the knots on the sleeve give it a feminine and playful touch. It also comes in chambray and gingham versions.
But let’s talk about these multi color pastel wedges! How cute are they!?!? I wore them to the here and got so many compliments on them. And they just got marked down and are available in every size! I’ve curated a boutique with some other great tops and dresses below that are on my wish list to wear with these wedges as well as a few great wedges for you.
