As you well know, setting a beautiful table is truly a love language for me. Creating this simple yet elegant Christmas tablescape brought me such joy! A few weeks ago, we hosted a Christmas dinner party for dear friends. I love how the tablescape turned out so I wanted to be sure to share it with you.
I had long admired the Ginori Oriente Italiano pattern but honestly couldn’t decide on which color until I saw the gold and white when we were in NYC a few weeks ago. That was it! The week of our dinner party, I went into one of my favorite local shops, The Ivy House, and was thrilled to see they had some in stock. I scooped up all the soup plates and salad plates they had and went to work.
Using several items I owned…gold and silver Florentine chargers, silver rimmed dinner plates, my Grand Baroque Sterling Silver placesettings, and my mother-in-law’s silver candle sticks, I created a table that I loved and will set again and again. The silver bottle brush Christmas trees that I picked up at another local favorite, Nicholson-Hardie, were the perfect addition. I’ve found very similar, if not exact!, trees for you on Amazon if you aren’t local or NH is sold out! In silver mint julep cups from our bar, I arranged all white flowers and added a touch of greenery, all from my grocery store. The finishing touch was my new Ginori Oriente Italiano in Gold.
I hope this inspires you to set a beautiful table for the holidays knowing that you don’t have to go over the top…although that is fun, too!
