Are you ready for the holiday craze? I love this time of year because it is all about family, entertaining and showing others you care. Because I care about you, my fantastic readers, I’ll be helping you prepare a head of time so you can relax and enjoy the season. My Holiday Gift Guides will go live this week to help with the shopping but first I want to share this Elegant Thanksgiving Tablescape.
How is this helpful, you ask? Well, I’ll be using many of these pieces to create my Christmas Tablescape, too. Less shopping and preparing in December is key, right? The hurricanes, burch-wrapped candles, salad plates, runner and napkins that are part of this Thanksgiving Tablescape are also all part of my Christmas table saving time and most of these are on sale so saving money, too.
The gold and silver salad plates are what started this Thanksgiving Tablescape. I loved the combination of silver and gold and the woodland scene. I thought it would work perfectly for both holidays. The napkin rings say Friends and Family, which is what this time of year is all about. You could also use these napkins that match the table cloth if gray isn’t your thing.
I’ve had these hurricane vases for several years. I use them in table settings like this and also as vases on my mantle filled with fresh flowers. Simple and beautiful. They would make a great gift. I used two hydrangeas and three Spider Mums per hurricane. I cut the hydrangea into pieces and made a circle with the them and the mums. Do this part a just before your guests arrive so they stay fresh. I then nested in the burch-wrapped candles which are on sale right now.
I already owned these chargers but they are currently 20% off. They are a great staple and great for outdoor dining, too. Using table runners is a great way to add dimension and color to your table without much cost. This one with natural fibers has a bit of lurex in it for a hint of shine. Best of all it’s on sale!
These pumpkins are from my front porch. They are back out there now and will return to the table after a good wipe down. It will be time for them to be put away after Thanksgiving anyway so I’m happy to use them once more. Someone in my neighborhood just paints theirs gold and leaves them out through Christmas. Yikes! Get your second use by incorporating them on you table. Don’t think yours will make it until Thanksgiving? Simply line a single color of the tiny pumpkins or gourds straight down the runner. I found the tiny white pumpkins at Trader Joe’s for less than $1.
I hope my Thanksgiving Tablescape inspires you to create this for your family. To get a head start on your Thanksgiving meal planning, start with my traditional menu. Here’s to a great holiday season!
