Navy and Gold Tweed Dress / Nude Suede Sandals / Leighton Pillow / Amalie Pillow / Milo Alpaca Throw / Navy Ceramic Lamp / Lucite Tic Tac Toe Set

A few weeks ago, I gave you a sneak peek of my Fall Family Room during the Serena and Lily Friends and Family Sale and I’m excited to share all the details with you today.  As you know, I don’t completely overhaul all of my decor each season or add a lot of theme decorations, I do like to give things a bit of a refresh.

This fall I updated the pillows on the sofa and our throws.  The Leighton pillow cover’s new colorway is my favorite!  I knew they would be the foundation for my fall update in this room. These beautiful, heavily embroidered pillows are available in two sizes. I used the 24 in. square. The light sand linen background fabric and the thick navy embroidery are so unique.

I accented them with the Navy Amalie pillows.  These textured pillows are hand-loomed alpaca wool and hand-tufted in a beautiful diamond pattern.  These are the 12 x 21 size.

Fresh greenery and live plants add life to any room. One of the things I do seasonally in our family room, my office and kitchen is to add seasonal greenery and plants. The blue ceramic cachepot on the coffee table is updated for fall with a dark blue silk hydrangea. The large blue import pottery bowl that is typically filled with orchids also got a refresh. I used a mix of textures and colors to create this arrangement.

I’ve loved using these Crate and Barrel hurricanes on the mantle this summer so I simply refreshed them with dark blue silk hydrangea and added water to the bottom of the hurricanes to make them appear to be fresh cut hydrangea.

I get so many compliments on my fresh hydrangea and friends don’t believe that these are silk when I tell them because of the trick of water in the bottom. I am loving using a mix of fresh flowers and plants with silk flowers. These blooming branches on the sideboard look good season after season. I was convinced to add these silk flowers after my friend Randi Garret sang their praises.

Another must have update for Fall and Winter are the fabulous throws from Serena and Lily. I absolutely love their Milo Alpaca Throw. For Fall, I chose navy to keep with my clean crisp color palette.

You can see my Spring update using the Milo and sky blue as well as other gorgeous Serena and Lily pillows.  I love how everything I chose can mix and match with what I have in the future as well!  But still love the sky blue on the navy Zebra chairs.

Another one of the items I always change seasonally is my candles. My favorite scent for fall is Niven Morgan Gold. I love the rich fragrance and by several to have this sent throughout our home. He also makes a trio of miniature candles that are perfect for gift giving.

I also get a lot of questions about my paint color.  It is a custom color I’ve used throughout the house on all trim and cabinets.  Paint color: Custom from Benajmin Moore (Formula is: S1 1x 29.5000  W1 0x 26.0000  R3 0x 0.7500  Y1 0x 7.7500)  It is also very close to the BM color Icicle. The walls that are not trimwork like in this room are 50% Benjamin Moor Sailcloth.  It matches this formula perfectly.

Speaking of gifts of my gift guides will a launch in the next few weeks so be sure that you have subscribe to my newsletter so you are the first to get access.

Many times only small updates for all that’s needed to give your room a fresh feel for any season. I’ve created a boutique with all the items in my family room below.  A few of the items (zebra chairs and sofas) are custom but I’ve linked similar items.  Please let me know if you have questions.

I’m excited to begin styling my home for the holidays and sharing lots of great holiday content with you soon. Stay tuned for my newest e-book to help you prepare for holiday entertaining!
