I’ve met some of nicest women since starting The Lush List almost 4 years ago. I’m so happy to partner with several of these friends to bring you another home tour filled with inspiration for home and personal style: Lovliest Looks of Fall Home Tour. I hope you’ll visit the other bloggers linked at the end of the post.
When I redecorated our family room, I shared all the details with you. For more than a year and a half, I barely made a single change. While I love the pop of fuchsia, I felt like it was time for an update and fall seems like the perfect time. I am ready for a crisp, clean look.
Fall fashion to me is all about textures in both home and personal style. Even a few simple changes can make a big difference. For fall, I’ve added beautiful midnight chenille pillows to the sofas. I love how they still set off my favorite embroidered pillows and the luxe texture they bring as well. They come in several other colors. I almost added these gorgeous pillows and may for winter! Pottery Barn has so many styles in luxurious fabrics that make this update easy.
My favorite blue import Chinese bowl hold orchids that I have to refresh because I just don’t have a green thumb. Thank goodness for Trader Joe’s! I found gorgeous white orchids with a touch of burgundy. I’ll add fresh burgundy dahlias to the vases when we have parties this fall.
Around my groupings of blue and white jars and vases I have incorporated small white pumpkins. I’ve shown you these here but will truly add them once it’s October. I hate to rush the holidays! My girls get so frustrated when I do. Christmas tree up the November 1, anyone!?! Ha!
My chic tic-tac-toe set designed by my friend and her daughter at Sawyer Collection got a change in playing pieces. We love to play this simple game! They have so many interchangeable pieces and can even feature photos!
I also add lots of candles in the fall. I love the Niven Morgan Gold fragrance and have it burning all the time during the fall and winter. I just picked up this gorgeous mercury glass container with the most beautiful tuberose and orchid scented candle. It might just given my favorite a run for the money especially in it’s silvery container.
I also get a lot of questions about my paint color. It is a custom color I’ve used throughout the house on all trim and cabinets. Paint color: Custom from Benajmin Moore (Formula is: S1 1x 29.5000 W1 0x 26.0000 R3 0x 0.7500 Y1 0x 7.7500) It is also very close to the BM color Icicle. The walls that are not trimwork like in this room are 50% Benjamin Moor Sailcloth. It matches this formula perfectly.
My favorite fall fashions have great texture and detail as well. Tweed, Cashmere and Boucle are quintessential fall to me. This navy and sky tweed skirt is the perfect combination of those with the faux pocket and gold button detail. I’ve paired it with a simple silk top while it is still warm here but will be wearing it with this cashmere sweater and topped with a classic coat soon…I hope! In fact, there are five classic coats everyone needs in their closet. Be sure you have them this fall and winter!
Another fall fashion must-have is a classic black boot like this one will be a staple in your closet for years. And my favorite color handbag for fall. I’ll be carrying this color bag with this look and all fall. You can see all my fall favorites in my Fall Shop that is always linked on the menu and on the side bar. It is updated constantly with new seasonal finds.
