Old Fashioned Peach Cobbler is a classic summer dessert.  It is simple and a sure crowd pleaser!  I featured it in our Outdoor Reveal or the Outdoor Entertaining post a few years ago and it’s been a one of the most popular summer recipes since!

This Old Fashioned Peach Cobbler recipe was given to my mom years ago by her best friend in Austin. I can hear her sweet southern accent now. It has become a family favorite.

Gluten Free Old Fashioned Peach Cobbler

Ingredients
  • ½ c butter
  • 1c flour (I used Cup4Cup)
  • 2 c sugar (divided use!)
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 c milk (I used coconut milk!)
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 3 tsp baking powder
  • 6 c peaches (peeled and sliced)
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Melt butter in 8 x 12 baking dish in the oven. Sift together flour, 1 c sugar, salt, and baking powder. Blend with coconut milk. Pour mixture over the butter. Arrange sliced peaches over the batter. Mix remaining sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle over the mixture. Bake 1 hour and crust will appear and cover the surface.

I love baking with summer fruits. This rustic pie is a favorite and so easy. I use this pie crust recipe and any fruit.

This cobbler recipe works well with other fresh summer fruits as well.  We made it with peaches and raspberries for one of our cookouts with friends in Lake Tahoe last year. This is our traditional summer menu, and we added the cobbler this year.

We are headed to Missouri to pick up my youngest daughter from camp and I couldn’t be more excited to see her!  We’ve received the cutest letters from her so I know she’s had a great time.  We are staying at a wilderness resort after pick up for a few days and I’ll share our stay on Instagram.  I have to admit, I’m a bit nervous about traveling…you know I love travel so that is really strange for me to feel this way!

Enjoy!
