Graduation Announcements / White Swing Sleeve Top / Kitchen Details Here / Glotrition (Part of my Daily Beauty Routine!)
Graduation from high school or college is a very special event! As a parent, you are so proud of your graduate and want to take the opportunity to make is a memorable time. In addition to hosting a party or open house, you are probably planning to send graduation announcements. These announcements are a classic and timeless way to share this achievement with your friends and family.
Our precious first born is graduating this year. While it is such a special occasion, it can become quickly overwhelming with the gifts to buy, the parties to plan and the announcements to send! I shared my favorite gifts for any graduate a few weeks ago.
As for announcements, I ordered ours from Minted. They offer a fantastic selection of graduation announcements and invitations designed by independent artists, which help them feel even more custom. They are all easily editable, too. Our daughter won’t wear the traditional cap and gown and I was able to delete that graphic from the design we loved the most myself!
One of the best things about using Minted for any card or announcement, they will address to your recipients if you have your contacts uploaded on your computer! I wish I had been that organized!
Many of my friends have asked, “what is the proper etiquette when sending graduation announcements?” Fortunately, a graduation announcement is a socially acceptable way to inform people of the graduation, even if they aren’t necessarily invited to the commencement.
Since most high schools and colleges limit the number of guests a student may invite to the ceremony, an announcement allows you to inform friends and family about graduation and where your son or daughter is heading in the fall. Also, if you are simply sending announcements to share the accomplishment of graduation, it is proper to send it up to 14 days after the ceremony.
Lastly, don’t forget to remind your teen to write thank you notes to those who give them gifts! A hand written note is always appreciated and helps the sender to know the gift was received. Minted has a great selection of Thank You Notes and even coordinating designs.
Finally, happy graduation to those families who have one graduating and cheers (and a few tears) to the next chapter!
