I am so excited to be going on a girls trip in a few days!  We are heading to NYC so I’m sharing my packing list for Holiday in New York City with you today!  It’s filled with festive pieces and cold weather staples, too.

We are doing a lot of shopping, dining and seeing two shows so I’ve included styles for all of these events.  From favorite cashmere sweaters paired with  jeans and fleece lined sneakers for shopping to special dresses for high tea, dinner and shows, if you are going to New York for Christmas or NYE, this packing list has what you’ll need.

A black dress coat has been on my list and I picked this one with a special detail up during the Saks Cyber Sale.  This one is gorgeous also and part of the Saks 25% off Friends and Family Sale.  There are so many great gifts in the sale!  Both of these coats would be a great gift if you need to drop a hint!

I don’t often wear red but it’s such a fun color for the holidays.  This red knit lady jacket is coming with me to pair with my favorite pair of black pants or jeans.  These pants were the best selling item from my NYC trip last November and again this Fall.  I size up one.  I’m sticking with a black, white and red color palette so that I can maximize my packing space and have room for gifts I buy in NYC!  This red turtleneck in is my cart and would be a warm piece for a cold day and also great for a more casual Christmas day at home.

This darling black bow sleeve dress caught my eye the minute I saw it!  I’ll be wearing it to a high tea and to see the Rockettes.  This beautiful fine gauge sweater with bell sleeves will pair with waxed pants or even my favorite sequin pants for dinner and a Broadway show.  I am also bringing a black cashmere turtleneck sweater to pair with this floral beaded pocket leather skirt I shared in What to Wear to Holiday Parties post.  I plan on wearing it with tights and tall boots.
