It’s hard to believe that my middle daughter graduates from high school this week. We’ve had so many wonderful celebrations for her and her friends. A few weeks ago, she and her best friend were honored at a brunch inspired by the Italian Riviera!
You probably know of my love for entertaining and creating a beautiful tablescape. One of my best friends, Nancy, loves to do this, as well. In fact, she was a professional event planner. She also happens to be the mother of my middle daughter‘s best friend. We had a great time planning this event together with their grandmothers and an aunt to honor our girls 15 your friendship and their graduation. How sweet this long and enduring friendship is to us all!
Madeleine Herskind who has done a lot of creative work for Alicia Wood Lifestyle designed hour custom invitations through her mother’s invitation and stationary company, Rosanne Beck. She did a beautiful save the date, invitation, place card menu and gift tag package for us with a lemon motif. We used pretty satin ribbon to tie the gift tags to tart lemon drop candy. Rosanne Beck does beautiful custom work and even did our Christmas card a few years go. You may also remember my Holiday Collection with them.
Our girls love iced coffee so their guests were greeted with iced vanilla lattes and blood orange and lemon Pellegrino as well.
Nancy had seen a designer’s Italian inspired spring collection and suggested we use that as our inspiration. After lots and lots of research, we found just the items we were looking for to help create a beautiful Italian graduation brunch.
We found these beautiful tile printed tablecloths, woven seagrass placemats and block print napkins on Amazon. They helped us create a chic Italian Riviera inspired table setting.
Nancy is super talented and found the most gorgeous flowers at our local grocery store. She selected gorgeous bright colors inspired by invitation and table cloths. She and I did the arrangements the day before the brunch.
After being seated with their chic cat eye sunglasses, the girls enjoyed Italian inspired family style lunch. We had post cards with vintage Italian prints on them for their friends to write notes and funny memories for the guests of honor. We will mail them to the girls throughout the Fall at college.
The girls’ grandmothers also hosted the event and were able to attend. It was such a special day celebrating these dear friendships! I hope this gives you some inspiration on hosting a graduation brunch or any brunch for a special occasion. Please let me know if you have any questions!
