Last week, I shared my tips for Easy Outdoor Summer Entertaining and told you with just a few changes that tablescape would become my July 4th Tablescape. Well, here are those details!
Much like my Thanksgiving and Christmas tablescapes a few years ago, I made just a few changes and completely changed the theme of the table. I started the table with my new favorite pieces from Juliska’s melamine collection, Splatter Spin, added rich red napkins, bamboo napkin rings, new flowers and Voila! Happy July 4th!
The woven table runner I used in the holiday tablescapes a mentioned above and love the bit of lurex shine. We use these cloth napkins at every meal. I have them in several of the 24 colors available. They are high quality, wash well and only $9.99 for 6. This table would be great with my signature pop of pink, too! I’m loving using these new wicker placemats. They add great texture to the table and are easy to clean.
I’ll definitely be using my Tips for Easy Outdoor Entertaining this July 4th. Last year, a bit impromptu, we had 5 or 6 families over and it was a blast. I was so glad to have a great collection of nonbreakable plates, bowls and drinkware. The Isabella pitcher, tumblers and cups match my melamine Berry and Thread pattern seen here as well. Juliska patterns are easy to intermix. I used the Classic Bamboo from my Easter tablescape with these as well.
One of my favorite tips is to have a make ahead menu. Tomorrow, I’ll be sharing a fabulous ceviche that is a true crowd pleaser. Other easy favorites are Watermelon Gazpacho, the Best BBQ Chicken (order this marinade today!), this Patriotic Trifle and Skillet Cherry Pie, too. This Classic Peach Cobbler was a huge hit last year. Here you see two of our simple favorites, Tomato Mozzarella Basil salad with a drizzle of Balsamic Glaze and Sliced Watermelon with a sprinkle of Tajin. Great for margaritas, too!
I’m working on a full round up of what to wear for July 4th for Friday and one of my favorites is this white tunic dress with navy trim that is around $100! It is chic, comfortable and has 50+ UPF, too! This classic style is perfect for summer. I’ve worn this several times this summer already especially when I know the a/c is going to be really cold like church or a restaurant.
Are you entertaining for the 4th? Do you have a July 4th favorite recipe? I’d love to know!
