I love to set a holiday table. The 4th of July is a favorite! A simple but elegant table is my typical style. I’ve been eyeing these bamboo and Ikat plates for a few months. Getting ready for a July 4th tables cape and with Pottery Barn’s sale, I couldn’t resist! They have up to 70% off and free shipping right now. I am crazy about Ikat so it was hard for me to pass these up for so long.
Having great basics like this blue vase, make setting a festive table easy. My blue vases are actually from Tiffany and used when I chaired the Junior League of Dallas Ball years ago but work well with this causal setting, too. Tuck some American flags in hydrangeas and, voila, July 4th centerpieces. I added these red and cream striped placemats, jute table runner and napkins tied with a woven red ribbon I picked up at the local craft store.
Obviously, we’d need glasses for dinner and these are the ones I have at my bar for both parties and family events. I didn’t add them to the table because, honestly, it was so dang hot, I blew it off! Thankfully, my dress was cool.
I’ll be sharing my menu next week but go ahead and order this today so you can start marinating your meat 3 days before your cookout!
Happy Friday!
