Happy October!  This means that one of my most favorite events in Dallas only two weeks away: Kappa Tablescapes.  Kappa Tablescapes 2016 will feature more than 50 floral designers, event specialists and interior designers who have created over-the-top table designs to raise funds for local nonprofit organizations.  This unique, two-day event showcasing the best in Dallas design is very near and dear to me, as I am a KKG and chaired the event in 2013.  There are two opportunities for guest to be inspired by all this creativity.

Tablescapes By Candlelight – Monday, October 17

Guests are treated to cocktails and a generous buffet as they view the floral creations by candlelight at Dallas Country Club.  Event begins at 7:30 pm and tickets are available here.  This is truly the best way to view the tables and take in their beauty.

Tablescapes Luncheon – Tuesday, October 18

This annual luncheon sells out each year and there are a very limited number still available so purchase yours today!  The Luncheon allows guests another opportunity to view the tables and also features an expert on a variety of topics ranging from Interior Design to Entertaining.  This year the featured speaker is Dallas’ own Jan Showers.  I am very excited to hear Jan speak.  She is so very stylish and beautiful and I love her design work, too.  I also think it is the first time we have had a local designer speak at Tablescapes.  You can order autographed books here.

This year the beneficiaries of Kappa Tablescapes funding are:  ACT Advocates for Transformation, Austin Street Center, Connecting Point of Park Cities, For the Nations Refugee Outreach, Interfaith Family Services, Mercy Street, MD College and Career Pathways, Kappa Kappa Gamma Foundation
