I think we are all over this crazy heatwave and looking for ways to cool off. I wanted to share an easy ice cream recipe and a few ideas for keeping it cool in the blazing heat with Walmart.

Everyone in our house is a big ice cream fan and homemade ice cream is just the best. This ice cream maker from Dash makes creating your own ice cream a snap!  Whether you are a purest and love homemade vanilla or a flavor lover, making a cool treat is easy!

Freeze the ice cream maker’s bowl overnight and then simply add 1c heavy cream, 1/2 c milk, 3/4 c of sugar, 1 tsp of vanilla… and Voilà! Homemade ice cream in 45 minutes. Want to change it up a bit? Simply at a quarter cup of your favorite fruit puree to the mixture.

One of my favorite things about ice cream is the cone! I am able to order both gluten-free and regular cones from Walmart.  This great ice cream cone stand makes it easy to serve up several cones at a time. You can even put them in the freezer on the a stand and pull them out when you are ready to serve!
