As you know entertaining is one of my favorite things to do especially in the summer. I have shared my Tips for Easy, Outdoor Summer Entertaining before and one of my biggest tips is to have a self serve bar. Today, I present and Mix Your Own Mojito Bar.
Not only does a self-serve bar free you up to mix and mingle with your guests it also provides a fun activity for everyone. When I hosted the poolside garden party in April and make your own Mojito bar it was front and center. Everyone loved creating their own cocktail.
Setting this up was very simple but had a big Wow! factor. I mixed the Mojito base in a large pitcher using fresh lime juice and my favorite vodka, BLKEYE Vodka made in Fort Worth. This organic vodka has the perfect notes for a fruit and herbal cocktail. You can find the full recipe here including the mint infused simple syrup you need this summer!
Next, I filled bowls with different fruits for guests to choose from to muddle with a little bit of mint in the bottom of their glass. Strawberry, watermelon, blackberry, and blueberry. Each of these flavors mix well with mint. Someone even got creative and created a Triple Berry Mojito with strawberries, blueberries and blackberries!
I hope this inspires you to set up a make your own Mojito bar the next time you entertain. It would be a really fun addition to you at your Fourth of July celebration. Speaking of I’ll have lots of fun Fourth of July content coming your way soon! You can see past posts for inspiration here until then.
Happy weekend almost weekend!
