As much as I hate cleaning the pieces of the juicer (hate scrubbing the strainer!), I’m so glad we used it this am. I always have more energy and feel better when I’m drinking fresh juice.
It’s hard not to judge a book by it’s cover here. Funny how something ugly can taste so good!
I use the Breville Juice Fountain Elite. It has several pieces but the end result of the most juice from the fruits and vegetables is worth it.
This summer I picked up a this book on juicing at Williams-Sonoma: The Juice Generation. It has a lot of great recipes for both the juicer or blender. I think a VitaMix works best for smoothies. It leaves no stings or grit.
My sweet Lab gets concerned with the whirring of the motor…Poor thing!
This morning I just threw together a few things from the fridge. It was great! Here’s today’s creation. The nectarines are so good right now. I might add a slice of jalapeno tomorrow!
- 2 cups of spinach
- 1 apple
- 2 carrots
- 4 celery stalks
- 2 nectarines (seeded)
- 1 lemon peeled
- Feed each item into your juicer using low for all items other than carrots and apple.
- Pour and enjoy!
Give it a try. What is your favorite combo?
I may have to pop back over. Do you offer drive through service in the morning???
xoxo- Tanya 🙂
