As much of a “doer” as I am, I’m not a huge “goal setter.” My other half is GREAT (yes, caps were needed) at this. It’s just not my bag. However, I do like to do a bit of a Reset on few things and a create Wish List for the New Year.
My Reset and Wish List categories this year are Food (of course!), Exercise, Family, Friends, Bible Study, Home Organization, Travel and Home Decor. I’ll be sharing more on each of these over the next few weeks.
But first, always….Food. Getting back to Fresh, Healthy Food, specifically.
After the holidays and all the wonderful celebrations that lead to food and beverage indulgences, I’m always craving a huge salad and a fresh juice! So my first action was to get out my Breville Juice Fountain Elite and make her acquaintance again. If you don’t have one, you NEED one. Yes, NEED. The one I use is on sale right now with free shipping, so no excuses! It’s so easy and truly fun. My girls love to see what is going in and also to choose things to put in their drinks. I insist on spinach and or kale, but they don’t care. Grapefruit and apples hide the “green” taste very well! I always add a bit of ginger or jalapeño to mine.
I’ve made fresh juice for the past three days. I can’t get enough.
Here are a few recipes for you and there are more to come! Each makes about 30 ounces.
Green Love – My girls thought this was be best “green” I’ve ever made!
3-4 handfuls of spinach
1 bunch of parsley
2 cucumbers
2 oranges
2 lemons
2 Granny Smith Apples
1 cup Pomegrante seeds
2 inches of ginger, peeled (I added this after I poured for the girls)
Bright Green
3-4 handfuls of spinach
2 Grapefruit
2 Oranges
2 Cucumbers
1 cup Strawberries

This great book tells you all you ever needed to know about juicing and has great recipes as well. Here’s to our good health in 2015!
