Since I’ve basically worked from home for 24 years, either freelancing PR, event planning, volunteering or blogging, WFH or Work From Home attire is not new to me. While there are days I stay in workout clothes, I get much more accomplished when I get dressed for the day.
My go-to WFH style is either in a cute top and jeans or a favorite easy dress. As you know I am a huge fan of my partner in the AWL x Southcott Travel Collection. These easy, comfortable styles are just as wonderful for working at home as they are for traveling. This dress is a favorite for those days I wish I could stay in my pjs but can’t. All of those days seem like that now, right?
The Go-To Cardigan is another favorite that I’ve been wearing over and over. It is in stock in both sizes in black and white. Since my husband is also working from home, he keeps the air down pretty cool, making this the perfect light layer. Southcott has extended their 25% off sale until the end of the month, so this is a great time to pick up a piece or two – or three!
His work from home style is pretty much summed up in this post we did together last year. He’s doing a lot of Zoom calls with his team and clients right now and needs to be dressed up, too.
This cozy sweatshirt I featured on Instagram stories last week was a best seller. It is so soft and comfortable. My youngest daughter has tried to steal it from me several times! Silly girl! This is a cute top with flutter sleeves. I also like this tshirt with flare. I’ve worn it a lot since I took it to South Africa last year. I love the ruffle detail on this top.
Other comfy items I’ve been reaching for are my long sleeved terry tunic dresses from Cabana Life. You’ve seen these here, here and here. I have the white, navy, and the new stripe version with pink trim. I got stopped three times at the JW Marriott Los Cabos and asked where it got it! I truly love this classic style and wear them all spring and summer long. There is also a sleeveless version.
Their dolman sleeve rash guard is another favorite top that I wear spring and summer. It is also a chic topper for your favorite jeans or shorts that you’ll wear now at home and later.
In the boutique below, you’ll find other great styles to help you feel put together but still comfortable while we stay home to flatten the curve. Don’t forget to check out this post with all the sales being offered at so many retailers.
Please know that everyone is in my thoughts and prayers right now. I’m definitely praying for everyone’s health and well-being during this time. I’m hoping that my posts bring a bright spot to your day. Please let me know what else you’d like to see on AWL right now and this spring!
I do have a really fun post coming soon, so be sure to check your email and subscribe to the newsletter if you haven’t. I also don’t want you to miss you any spring inspiration coming your way including a new Spring Boutiques, an Easter Tablescape you can easily create and some more big news! I might show a hint on Instagram Stories this week!

Alicia,
Did you ever do the tutorial on how to cut the hem on your own jeans? You mentioned that one of the denim experts showed you how.
I want to let you know how much I enjoy reading your blog. I’m a former Dallas resident now living in NJ. In fact, our paths crossed years ago (mid 90s) doing volunteer work for the Heart Ball.
Hi Melissa!
I’m so glad you enjoy AWL! I hope you and your family are well and safe in New Jersey. I’m so glad you remembered us meeting. I loved working on Heart Ball. 🙂
I did update that post on how to distress your denim hems. It is in this post. Please let me know if you have other questions!
Take care,
Alicia

Thank you for posting “work from home” wear. Although I do not “work”, I am a homeschooling Mom who appreciates great style.
It feels good to have a cute outfit on as I take the kids to lessons, run errands, or have a day at our co op. Thank you for sharing your gift with me! God bless you!
Tiffany,
Thank you so much for your sweet comment! I’m blessed to have people like you who read and follow AWL. I’m so glad this post was helpful to you. I tell my girls, “Look good, feel good!” on days that seem hard. It helps me! And, by the way, anyone who thought homeschooling wasn’t work, now knows differently! Bless you for having the patience and ability to keep your children on track. It is not my gifting but my girls are super organized and getting it all done!
Blessings to you and your family!
