What a whirlwind! My first NYFW as very fast paced but very fun. Day 1 had us up at 4am for a 6am flight. Not my preferred flying time (took me a week to recover!) but we wanted to make the most of our time in the city during NYFW.
Once we landed, I dropped my bags at the hotel and headed to a quick meeting with Neiman Marcus at the ShopStyle Social House. Because it took so long to navigate the traffic in the city, we could not make our behind the scenes look at the Jonathan Simkhai show. I was really sad to miss that opportunity. The details of his designs are so beautiful. It is easy to see why he won the CFDA Vogue Fashion Fund award last year. We headed to Barney’s for shopping and lunch at Fred’s.
Dress // Shoes (these for the plane and these for the day) // Tote // Suitcase // Handbag (similar here and here)
This is the look I wore for our first day in New York. I wore my favorite dress for several reasons…it doesn’t wrinkle, is super comfortable and I get asked about it by multiple people every time I wear it. Every. Single. Time. This day was no exception. This dress has been sold out for a while but I found it here for you in lots of sizes and only $157! I also wore these shoes once we were off the plane. I actually wore them several days because they are so comfortable! Truly a great investment shoe.
Jumpsuit // Shoes // Clutch // Necklace
That night we all went to dinner at a quaint Italian restaurant, Morandi New York, a quaint neighborhood restaurant. The food was fabulous as was the atmosphere and conversation with my blogger friends.

Day 2 of NYFW started early the next morning with a quick photo shoot of what our outfit for the day (seen in this post) and on to brunch at Sant Ambroeus and Veronica Beard presentation. This was held in the basement of their beautiful new Madison Avenue store was an installation by interior designer Ken Faulk.
It was amazing and so fun. He created an apartment with a 70s vibe and fun elements like a leopard covered refrigerator filled with champagne and Paul Andrew shoes! The apartment had fun “party lighting” so I couldn’t get good photos with my iPhone but if you follow my on Instagram you saw the fun Insta Stories! The Veronica’s (two Veronica’s married to brothers) are so down to earth and gracious. I met Veronica Miele Beard several years ago when I took my middle daughter, who wants to be a designer, to their design studio for a tour.
Erin Fetherston Finale
Then it was off to the Erin Fetherston runway show. My first formal show of NYFW. Her designs were gorgeous. Erin had a sweet letter on each seat talking about NYC, presenting her show the 15th anniversary of 9/11 and that she was donating a percentage of sales from this show to a 9/11 Memorial Fund. She has a heart as beautiful as her designs.

Veronica Beard Dress on major sale // Shoes // Clutch (similar)
The evening was capped off by a private party celebrating Veronica Beard’s SS17 line and new store and a fabulous dinner. I wore my favorite Veronica Beard dress from SS16. This dress is on major sale and perfect for right now! It fits true to size. Dinner was with with Tanya Foster and Courtney Bier, our rewardStyle rep and fellow blogger, on the rooftop at STK with a view of the Freedom Tower and World Trade Center lights. Our waiter shared his memories of that day with us. Humbled to be in NYC on 9/11 so we had to end with this view.
