I love when I get feedback from readers and followers. When I did a survey on Instagram stories so many of you asked for unique gift ideas. One of my favorites is the gift of beautiful art from my friend Jenn Thatcher Art.
You’ve seen the special pieces that Jen has created for my home in our family room, master bedroom, guest room, in my middle daughters bedroom and youngest daughters bedroom. Jen is beyond talented and I guess you could say I’m beyond obsessed! I’ll be sharing my art of Instagram stories later today so you can see it all and get a feel for the range of her work.
A self taught artist, Jenn has been creating beauty and shipping it around the world for more than 7 years. She draws inspiration from her faith in God and His creation Jenn says “Each canvas is a metaphor for life, it starts clean and new, and sometimes it goes a direction we love, and sometimes it goes a direction we don’t love, but we can keep going, we can paint over it and turn it into something beautiful in the end.”
Jenn is a self-taught artist living in Dallas, Texas. After her third child was born, Jenn left a career as a consultant for a Wall Street firm. The endless travel and constant stress were too much her and her family. “I fell into painting by accident and because I had no formal training I was unafraid to try practically anything,” said Jenn. “I think this is why there is so much variety in my work because I am always trying new things and techniques.” This is one of the things that drew me to Jenn and her work. You don’t see something and say, “That’s Jenn Thatcher.”
Her Black Jacks, named after her precious son, is this series that she is well known for. Interlocked circles representing couples, children and families or a special addition to your home. She releases new series of these often.
Her large format paintings make a wonderful statement in any room as you can see from the ones in my family room, guest room and master bedroom. Jen is so wonderful to work with and makes the process so easy. Each one of the paintings in my home was commissioned for the space but she is such a prolific painter that there is always a wide range of paintings available on her website. If you are interested in a custom painting from Jen, a gift certificate is a wonderful idea! Use code ALICIACB300 for $300 off any large format painting currently only on her website.
Jenn’s artwork in acrylic blocks are a great way to add artwork to your home. The piece she created for our guest room was so popular that she made it available in this format. Whether they enhance a bedside table or add interest to shelves, these are a popular and thoughtful gift. The acrylic blocks are also a great way to start someone’s art collection in an attainable manner.
Jenn has created a special code for my readers for the Alicia Block. With code ALICIAPINK and ALICIABLUE, you will receive your choice of her overflow coasters in pink or blue with your purchase of the Alicia Acrylic Block or gift certificate. This gorgeous print is available also in her wallpaper.
I’ve created a full boutique below of Jenn‘s beautiful artwork ranging from the acrylic blocks to her large-format pieces. You can also see other Unique Gift Ideas here and access all 16 Gift Guides here and below. Giving the gift of Jenn Thatcher Art would truly be a unique gift that will be treasured for years!

Love Jen’s artwork and it looks beautiful in your home! I really like the denim dress you are wearing too. Where is is from?
She is so talented! The dress is about 3 years old and from 7 for All Mankind. It’s such a great staple! I wish they’d make something like it again.
