Dress // Clutch // Earrings // Similar Shoes

Last week, I was invited to the preview of a new handbag collection (obsessed with this one) from Tina Craig of Bag Snob, another fabulous blog,  and wore this dress.  A friend who I think is always impeccably dressed and also quite avant guarde made a beeline to me, told me how great I looked and asked who designed it.  Wow!  Definitely a compliment I’ll remember.  When I wore it again Saturday night as we attended several Christmas parties, I received many more compliments.  The silver clutch is a favorite and so popular it is back for another year!

You may remember this great dress from a this post a few weeks ago about styling a friend.  I loved it from the minute I put it on.  A reader commented on Facebook that she hoped that I actually purchased this one calling it “Very Vogue Editor.”  I have to agree.  It is the perfect mix of style and shimmer.  Not to mention that the long sleeves were quite nice on a chilly night!  Being chiffon and navy, I plan on wearing it almost year round.

The swing skirt is a new style for me and it was really fun.  The smocking gives it delicate detail to match the sheer sleeves and tiny feather-like shimmering motif.

This dress is actually a bit more than I typically spend on a dress but with the reaction, I think it is well worth every cent.  I’ve gathered a few of my other favorite party dresses for every budget as there seem to be a lot more events before Christmas and another dress may be in order.
