When I first started blogging, I created a series called Make This Weekend and I shared seasonal recipes to try when you had time on a weekend. I’m excited to revive this series!
One of the most popular posts in my food section is How to Create a Charcuterie Board. Today, I’m sharing with you the inspiration for a Spring Charcuterie Board.
When I saw this marble pastry board, I knew it would also works as the perfect serving platter for entertaining. Here, I have gathered our favorite spring vegetables and cheeses.
You’ll see two versions of this board. When I shot the video to introduce my new website name, and I forgot to take all the photos I needed for a post! I photographed it again the next week and changed out some of the items. There are times when it is hard to be a one woman show on shoot day and this was one of them! Ha!
Version one, has dill and cracked pepper crusted goat cheese, fresh asparagus, homemade pea pesto, fresh feta cheese, snap peas, raddishes, purple cauliflower, sopressata salami, lemon marinated olives, proscuitto, and my favorite crackers, Mary’s Gone Crackers and Gluten Free Cracklebread. Version two has the addition of cherry tomatoes and quinoa pesto from Trader Joe’s.
While this is the perfect appetizer, my girls are well accustomed to this also being a self serve dinner for those crazy sport carpool nights. I’ll also make this a lot on weekends as an appetizer when we are grilling or having friends over for one of my favorite margaritas or glass of wine. This Rose, Les Calans, is made by a friend, Gela Gellardo who also made the Volcan Tequila I told you about here. Les Calans is available at Central Market and City Cafe in Dallas.
I’ve gathered some of my favorite marble and wood serving boards perfect for a charcuterie or serving your favorite appetizers.
I’m off to prep for a party for a bunch of friends in town for the rewardStyle Conference. This the is annual blogger conference I’ve shared with you before. It’s fun to see all these women I’ve become friends with over the years. You’ll want to follow along on Instagram stories and see all the details of my party and the Conference! The conference itself is a lot of fun, too. I’ll be sharing highlights from it and other fun things over this busy weekend on Instagram, too.
Have a great weekend!
