I am so excited for spring! We are having what I hope is our last cold snap here. This refresh of my family room for our Styled for the Season Home Tour has me ready for warmer weather!

First, I want to thank you for your wonderful response to my rebranding to Alicia Wood Lifestyle that was announced on Monday. I’m so excited to share all the fun things I have planned.

Next, I want to welcome everyone who came from from my friend Jennifer at Decor Gold. I’m so happy to have you here.  Alicia Wood Lifestyle is focused on Personal StyleFood and EntertainingInteriorsBeauty and Travel.  I’m so glad to have you and hope you’ll peruse my site while you’re here.  Be sure to register for my newsletter as I have more Spring inspiration and a few great giveaways in the works you don’t want to miss!

I love being a part of the Styled for the Season home tour several times a year.  It is fun to see the different styles and get inspiration from five of my favorite home and lifestyle bloggers. Each home is always filled with beautiful inspiration. After You tour my family room you’ll visit my sweet friend Randi of Randi Garret Design. She will direct you to the next home on the tour.

When I first completely redecorated our family room three years ago, I wanted a neutral base that I could update with just a few simple changes.  Our white sofas covered in Crypton Fabric make it easy to you have a house full of kids and white sofas.  I used Crypton in our Cabana/Teen Room, too.

These gorgeous pillows from Serena and Lily are exactly what I had in mind to brighten the room for spring. The multicolor embroidery on heavy linen make the pillows extra luxurious. The tassel detail takes them one step beyond.  The thistle pattern on the navy pillows has a hand-made feel.  I love them layered over the Harbor blue with lighter blue stripes.  I used the 12 x 21 size in my antique French chairs.

I’ve added these Alpaca throws to my navy and white zebra chairs. These ultra soft throws have a beautiful basket weave pattern. They have been perfect for this chilly spring and a cozy movie night. Available in six colors they are a great way to add a pop of color to any room.

I have a true passion for blue and white and have collected pieces for many years. I’m so happy to have found some of my favorite recent purchases like this, this and this in stock again for you!  I have pieces grouped together to create more impact. I purchased a lot of the pieces in pairs because I am just an even-Steven kind of girl.  I do break them up like I’ve done here by putting one on the game table and then the other from the pair is in the group of three by the fireplace. I’ve also broken up this pair by putting one on the side board on one side of the room and the other in this group of three by the fireplace as well.

I’ve been experimenting with faux flowers recently. My friend Randi, who’s home you will visit next, is the queen of finding the most beautiful faux florals. I chose the white version of these blooming dogwood branches to put in one of my favorite blue and white pieces. And here’s another surprise!  The hydrangea on the mantle and a pair of my favorite glass hurricanes are also silk! I simply added water to the bottom of the hurricanes to help them look even more fresh.  Everyone who comes over can’t get over the fact that they are not fresh hydrangeas!

To help corral all of the things on my coffee table. I found this beautiful white wash woven basket with handles. It is such a steal! I may just be ordering another one to use it to serve drinks and appetizers outside this summer. The beautiful white rattan candlesticks with pillar candles add height and dimension. I’ve added fresh hydrangea plant to a blue and white cachepot and place on top of some of my favorite design books.

The black Ming style coffee table helps to ground the entire room.  It sits on a white and silver leaf cowhide that I bought at a rug show in my neighborhood. I have found it for you here.  I have used it in my living room, my entryway and now here in the family room. It’s such a versatile piece and would also be beautiful layered over a sisal rug. I found these silver moroccan poof stools years ago at Target. These and these are very similar.  I love the extra seating that they provide and the fact that they can just push under the table when not needed.

Below you’ll find links to my friends who are also opening their homes for inspiration today as well. Next you’ll visit Randi of Randi Garrett Design to see her beautiful home Styled for the Season.

Be sure to visit my other uber talented friends as well for the full tour:
