I absolutely love to get reader requests! Today’s post is inspired by a readers up coming trip and she asked me for style ideas. Presenting a Packing List for Spring in Paris.
It’s been a few years since I’ve been to the City of Light. My husband and I spent a week there after we were first married, next I went on a girls trip for our 40th birthdays and about 7 years ago we took the girls. It’s funny how much you remember from trip to trip even though years pass in between. This amazing city never changes but always provides sweet memories!
What to Pack for Spring in Paris
The weather can vary a bit in Paris in the early Spring. It can go from glorious, sunny to cloudy, cool and rain in a matter of days so packing layers and versatile pieces are a must. A chic trench coat, striped sweaters, pretty tops to pair with denim, feminine dresses, classic silhouettes and black and white combos are what I would pack for Paris in the Spring. I’ve included all these in the boutique below.
On our girls trip in early May, we wore our trench coats most days. Several evenings were weather perfection and we didn’t even need a wrap but I always pack one just in case! This Cuyana Alpaca cape is a favorite for travel. It’s always a top seller from my gift guides.
A great bag for sightseeing is a must! I love the Longchamp Le Pliage and have it in several colors. My first one was the navy nylon that I bought for our family trip to London and Paris. It is chic and large enough for your daily necessities as well travel guides and even your folded trench if it warms up! I also have the Le Pliage in leather in tan and pink. It’s a great daily bag. If you don’t need or want to carry a lot, a pretty cross body is a great choice. This is another great bag and also a French brand.
Chic but comfortable shoes are a must when sightseeing in a big city. Whether you love a cool sneaker like this or a classic like this or a pretty flat, make sure you have broken them in. I’ve learned that the hard way! Sometimes I’ll put my favorite pair of sandals in my bag and change to give my feet a break! These took me all over Spain and San Miguel! I always pack a pair of my favorite heels for night. They are easy to pack and don’t take up a lot of space!
I’m a dress girl so my go-to is always a dress. I’d pack pretty feminine prints and ruffled dresses for day to sleek silhouettes for night.
I hope that gives you a good idea of what I’d pack for Paris in the Spring. Please send me other destinations on your list. I’d love to design a packing list for you!
