Summer reading is my thing. I’m not sure why but during the school year it has gotten really difficult for me to get through a book. The one I didn’t finish last summer, still sits on my bedside table begging to be finished. I don’t know about you but I had to leave a character “hanging” ….and for so long!
Mysteries are my favorite to read but I’m branching out a bit this summer. I’ll be finishing this great book and will add another Laura Lippmann to my list. Someone turned me on to her a few years ago with this book and I love her series about one female private detective. And I always love a good John Grisham. This one was great if you’ve not read it. I couldn’t put it down.
Others on my list (you know I had to include a cookbook!):
The Girl on the Train – Great reviews and sounds just like my kind of suspense!
All the Light We Cannot See – I’ve started this as it was recommended by so many friends.
The Nightingale – Another highly recommended and preferred over the one above by a few. Hmmm….
In the Time of Butterflies – This is actually my oldest daughters summer reading but was recommended by a friend as well. I love mysteries and political dramas. This sounds like a combination of both!
Boys in the Boat – I love history and everyone I know loved this. And since my daughter rows, I think I could learn a thing or two as well!
Crazy Love – This isn’t new but a Christian book I’ve been wanting to read. It is a quick read so this is the summer!
Cookbooks for Summer
For Love and Lemons – This looks great for summer!
Endless Summer – My go-to last summer. If you don’t have it, you need it!
What is on your list? I’d love some recommendations!
