For a summer where I wasn’t going to travel much, I sure did work in a few fantastic trips! I always get a great response when I post my travel looks on Instagram, so I thought it would be fun to share them here, too. I’ve posted packing lists and what I like to pack for a long flight before but never really talked about travel looks.
In early June, I was able to tag along to a conference with my hubby to Park City, Utah. I knew we’d hit the ground running when we arrived and wanted to be comfortable but look cute, too. I wore this great ruffle sleeve top from Draper James. It was my first purchase from the brand and won’t be my last! I’ve worn this top a lot and it is great for travel as it is a thick cotton that doesn’t wrinkle. I’m always cold on the plane so I took along this vintage Tory Jacket that they re-released this summer and it’s on sale now. The jeans here are my favorites from Banana Republic that you’ve seen here. They are a great denim that holds it’s shape. Yes, I did travel in these shoes. They are my favorites and so comfortable. We are TSA PreCheck so I don’t have to remove my shoes in the airport. Getting this clearance is the best time you’ll spend prepping to travel. Not having to take off your shoes and walk on those dirty floors…priceless!
On my first trip to Scotland, I wore the same outfit and added my favorite trench. It was perfect for the weather and folded easily into my favorite Longchamp. On my second trip to Scotland, I wore these new Articles of Society jeans. I’d never worn this brand before and was curious because of their $64 price tag. I’ve never had luck with an inexpensive denim before. I LOVE these! They are so very soft and hold their shape, too. This rosy pink cardigan was the most purchased item for the past three weeks from that Instagram post. It was also what I wore it on the plane for our trip to Tahoe…and every night of the trip! I’ll be getting it in at least one more color.
After we landed in Edinburgh, I changed into this jacket and comfy flats before took the train to Saint Andrews. They are the same jeans from above and the satin bomber I shared last week. It is the second most popular item from July both on Instagram and most popular on the blog.
Traveling home I wore this look. Yes, several repeats. The key to packing light and still looking great!
My suitcase for all the trips is the new 7R Spinner from Hartmann. It is the prettiest suitcase I’ve ever had and the leather trim is gorgeous! Don’t worry…it comes with a really easy to use cover. It the easiest suitcase to pack. I’ll do a post on it soon and stay tuned for a giveaway, too!
I’m excited to get my next trip planned and share with you where I’m headed next!
