For more than 15 years, Telluride has been a family favorite in both winter and summer. There is so much to love about this special spot. Not only are the views amazing but it is home to a number of wonderful restaurants. Today, I want to introduce you to Telluride Reserve: Mountain Village Food and Wine Festival, August 15-18.
This new event brings together these special elements in a brand new way. This inaugural celebration pairs emerging and award-winning chefs, winemakers, farmers, authors and culinary influencers to share their experiences, cultures and personal stories of food and wine.
Telluride Reserve guest participation is limited to ensure the intimacy of the tasting experience and provide interaction with the chefs, winemakers and producers.Telluride Reserve is a series of interactive wine tasting sessions led by wine professionals and Master Sommeliers. Each reservation allows the guests to select eight sessions over four days of the festival. Your Telluride Reserve experience begins on Thursday, August 15 with the InvitedHome Sabrage Welcome featuring breathtaking views of Mt. Wilson. This event takes place on the terrace at The Peaks Resort and Spa, my favorite place in Telluride for apres ski and watching the sunset. You may remember this from our visit to Telluride for Spring Break.
Friday and Saturday offers the opportunity to choose from seven different Tastevin: Small Bites and Small Sip events. These are 1 hour tasting sessions centered around a particular theme and limited to 50 guests to ensure a great experience. Topics range from Bubble Around the World (remember when we talked about MCC in South Africa!?!?) to Building the Perfect Antipasti.
Taste And Terrior Lunches are also offered Friday and Saturday. These special events are hosted in private homes and limited to 24-30 guests depending on the residence. These intimate events feature chefs and winemakers from around the world talking about the food and wine from the world’s different winemaking regions.
The four day celebration will end with a Bon Voyage Brunch that is offered at three different times so you can get a jump on your day or sleep in. The brunch pairings end on the Mt. Wilson Terrace at The Peaks forever sealing the memory of all that is Telluride and this inaugural festival. Believe me, once you’ve lost your heart to Telludride, it will remain there forever awaiting your return.
Telluride Reserve – Mountain Village Food and Wine Celebration is a perfect way to end summer, whether a romantic getaway, girls trip, or even just for fun! You can learn more here and reserve your place at the tasting table.
