One of my favorite holidays is Thanksgiving. I love the tradition of the foods we prepare, the stories behind them and being in the kitchen with my mom. My daughters all love to help as well. One of my earliest food memories is several generations in the kitchen at one of my great-grandmother’s homes cooking for Thanksgiving. I can’t count the years we ate two Thanksgiving dinners! Even as a child, you learned to pace yourself…and which grandmother had the “best” you-name-it. (insert wink!)
I always loved setting the table as well. Not that is my job at my mom’s home. Two years ago, I stole mini pumpkins from her porch and huge, fading limelight hydrangeas and leaves from her garden. It was a beautiful table…if I do say so myself!
This is what is inspiring my Thanksgiving table this year…
My menu plan and recipes are coming next week!
