Holiday Home Shop | The Best Christmas Decor and Gift Wrap

The holidays are around the corner and soon you’ll be breaking out the Christmas decor and putting up your tree. Whether you are getting an early start this year or planning to wait to decorate until after Thanksgiving, now is a great time to start planning how to decorate your home for Christmas. My Holiday Home Shop will give you lots of great inspiration and help you get your home into the holiday spirit!

I absolutely love Christmas! Because it is a time dedicated to celebrating the birth of our Savior and his gift of grace to all of us but also because of the family time and memories we get to create.  I know this may seem a bit early to some but my goal this year is to be completely wrapped up with everything Christmas related by the time my daughters arrive home from college on December 16.

The last two weeks, I’ve been sharing my Holiday Gift Guides and realize that I’ve not shared my updated Holiday Shop!  Below you’ll find a full boutique of beautiful holiday decor and gift wrap as well as a little about our Christmas traditions.

Christmas Tree

Rest assured my tree is not already up this year! I have never been one to decorate for Christmas before Thanksgiving except for a photo shoot once.  My girls hated it!  We usually do it that weekend while we are recovering from our turkey coma!

Two years I purchased a new tree and I’m so glad I did!  Our other tree was honestly too large for the space and cumbersome to put together.  I took a chance on this 9 foot “real look” tree from National Tree on Amazon and I absolutely love it! It is so high-quality.  I think it is just as beautiful as my other tree that cost three times as much!

My tree ornaments are a mix of ornaments that we have collected over the past 27 years. I have gold, silver, white, mercury glass, iridescent glass, shades of blue and of course Christmas red!  I create a base with these colors to highlight the rest of our collected ornaments.  My mother does a candy themed tree each year that is so darling!  My girls love to see what she adds each year.

Each year I decide on a color theme, choose the ornaments and add fresh ribbon if needed.  We also have a collection of special ornaments that the girls love to hang each year.  Each one has a special memory attached and we love talking about them as we decorate.  My sister-in-law is half German so she gave us this pickle ornament.  We hide it in the tree Christmas Eve and whoever finds it gets a special treat!

The garland on my mantle is pre-decorated with silver, white and iridescent glass ornaments and lights.  It comes in several other color combinations, too.  I’ve included them below.  It is lush and full and makes a great background for my traditional Nutcracker collection.

I love to color coordinate my gift wrap with the tree.  This year I’ve chosen silver, gold and white solid and printed wrapping paper and ribbon from The Container Store.  They always have a beautiful selection of gift wrap and ribbon no matter the colors you are using.  I’ve created Gift Wrap Boutique below as well.

For more inspiration, you can see my Christmas Home Tour with a few other influencer friends from a few years ago. You can also see more inspiration for both Thanksgiving and Christmas on the menu above under Holiday Inspiration.

I’ve created a boutique below that has similar ornaments to those I’ve collected as well as beautiful options to add to your collection this year. I purchased this tree skirt last year because believe it or not I had been using the same one for 23 years and it was time for a new one!

I’m not sure if you can tell or not but what you see here are two white fleece blankets because I forgot to buy one before the photo shoot! Sometimes you just have to get creative!

Be sure to check out the Holiday Inspiration tab on the Menu above where you will find Gift Guides and Inspiration for Thanksgiving and Christmas all in one spot!  I’ve loved seeing all you are buying for everyone on your list!

I would love to see your mothers candy themed tree. I used to have a smaller Candyland tree in the kitchen when my kids were younger, but got lazy and gave up setting it up. The holidays are my favorite time of year. After 3 years spent living overseas, we are excited to spend Christmas at our house in Houston, although I will treasure my European Christmas memories.

Your tree looks gorgeous and I love your color coordinated wrapping – I am trying to do that this year so I am loving the inspiration! I can’t wait to pull out my Christmas decorations but we usually wait until the Friday after Thanksgiving!
