I can’t believe that Christmas is only three days away! It has seemed to go very quickly for us this year. I’m so ready to get everything wrapped and begin prepping for our Christmas Menu.
Believe it or not I still have 2 gifts to buy! There is still time for us both to get everything we need. Check this post for all the shops that can still make your loved ones Christmas dreams a reality….and then on to the food!
Obviously, this is a passion for me but I do love how it brings our family together in the kitchen, whether helping out or just chatting while others cook and bake, the kitchen is the hub of activity. I also love the comfort of our traditional menu. It stays basically the same each year with a new addition here and there but most of the menu remains in place.
Christmas Morning Menu
Raspberry French Toast Strata – So many readers have told me that this is their new tradition. It makes me so happy to know this! If you are like me and love the crust, use Udi’s dinner rolls instead of the baguettes. For Christmas, I’ll substitute Cranberries and Orange Zest but both versions are equally yummy and crowd pleasing.
Fresh Fruit Salad
Hot Chocolate Bar – This is a great way to amp up your morning very easily! Kids and adults love choosing their toppings.
Christmas Dinner
Rosemary Garlic Beef Tenderloin
Brown Sugar and Bacon Green Bean Bundles
Coconut Macaroon Hot Fruit Compote
Ginger Spiced Orange Cranberry Sauce
Cinnamon and Red Wine Poached Pears
I hope you will try a few of these recipes and see why they are part of our Traditional Christmas Menu each year.
