While Valentine’s Day is for couples, I love to treat my girls and make them feel loved as well. Each year, we put together a fun breakfast for them to start their Valentine’s Day. Setting a cute table with things I have and creating a Valentine’s gift box are a fun sight each Valentine’s Day morning! I wanted to share this Tablescape from last year with you for a bit of inspiration!
The table is set with pink and red to create a festive Valentine’s look. Several years ago, I needed a pink tablecloth on short notice and couldn’t find one. Instead, I grabbed a pink twin-sized sheet! A whole lot less expensive for a color I don’t use that often. We use these hot pink napkins as our everyday dinner napkins for a pop of color. The silver placemats are another fun favorite that you’ve seen here before. We love these pink swirl glasses seen here, too.
I always put together a little box of fun treats they enjoy. It has changed a bit over the years and now that they are teens to pre-teens, I’ve added a few beauty times as well. I created this box of Valentine’s Day goodies mostly of fun things I found at the Target Dollar Spot.
This heart box will be cute on their desk as a catch-all to help contain clutter later! I’ve filled it with tissue to nest in a scented candle, Valentine’s Day gummi bears, pencils, markers, a phone charging bank and bath bomb. It’s topped off with a huge heart-shaped Dylan’s Candy Bar lollipop (similar here).
I found these darling iridescent travel hair dryers as well. The shiny multicolor color case caught my eye from the main aisle! As you know we love to travel, this will be great for trips and will also hold some hair accessories. It will be perfect as a gift to give the kids this year! (And I might just need one for myself!)
The heart-shaped coin purses with cute sayings are something I picked up at one of my favorite local stores, Nicholson-Hardie. They always have the cutest seasonal things!
As you can see, it doesn’t take much to create a really cute Valentine’s Day tablescape. I try to also serve a fun but simple breakfast. These easy gluten-free Red Velvet Waffles are always a hit!
Do you do something special for your children for Valentine’s Day? I’d love to know your traditions!
