I was honored when Veronica Beard reached out to me to participate in their Slash Series. As you know, I love this brand and the Veronicas behind it. The Slash Series celebrates the confident, versatile, humorous and passionate sides of women’s personalities that make them unique.
Veronica Beard asked several women to share three of their slashes. The three slashes I chose are Mom/Foodie/Traveler but truly could have added three or four more! Because let’s face it. There are so many facets that make up who we are. We are all this/that/more, right?
Here are the reasons behind my Slashes:
Mom because of my three girls and being their mom and married to their dad are the biggest parts of my identity. I am blessed to raise them and learn from them as well.
Foodie because I love food and what it represents to me. Family, occasions, entertaining, home. It is also one of the biggest parts of my blog and why I started The Lush List.
Traveler because travel is one of my passions. I love to travel to new places and to familiar ones as well. Travel inspires me to try new things and to understand others and also more about myself. I don’t to travel as much as I’d like because we are in the thick of raising our girls but love to travel with them as much as possible, as well.
Other slashes I would use if I could go on and on are: Wife, Daughter, Friend, Believer, Hostess, Volunteer….
This look is from the Veronica Beard Fall line. I’m embracing prints again with this navy chiffon ruffle top. It is a bit sheer but you could also layer a nude or navy tank underneath. It also comes in a rich saffron color which in addition to navy is so hot for fall.
And, let’s talk about these jeans! I’m so in love with them. Embellishments are a big trend for denim this fall and these stripes are both slimming and lengthening. I also love wearing white even in touches year round so they will be great for spring and summer, too. The jeans also come in a navy/red combo.
What are your slashes? I’d love to know in the comments below!
