I’ve always been a rule follower but “No White After Labor Day,” is one I haven’t followed in years.  White jeans are not just for spring and summer.  Pairing a darker color top with your white jeans makes it easy to wear white jeans all year.  This navy and white striped top with ruffled sleeves from Banana Republic is a perfect example of how to dress for the season in your favorite pair of white summer jeans.

I love the fit of this top and the fabric is lightweight, too.  It will also be perfect for layering as temps cool off and also with dark denim.  Navy is one of the top colors of fall which makes this the perfect fall addition to your wardrobe.

It’s funny to me that we think nothing of wearing a great white top with dark denim or a great cargo pant for some reason, white jeans are a no-no.  My favorite white jean styles are the J.Crew Toothpick 8″ rise I’m wearing here, the AG Jeans White Legging Ankle and AG Jeans Farrah Skinny Ankle.  I wear a 23P in the J.Crew and a 24 in all AG for size reference.

White jeans and a black turtleneck with tall black boots or a nude shoe is one of my favorite casual fall/winter looks.  The shoes I have on here are truly some of my most comfortable.  You’ve seen them many times including here and here.

While I’ll still be wearing my favorite white dresses as long as it is still so hot, I’ll still be incorporating white tops and white jeans into my look on a consistent basis.
