Attending shows at New York Fashion Week has always been a dream of mine.  I would see a trip to attend a designer’s show at an auction and think, “I’d like to do that!”  I have worked for a great women’s fashion company and attended their beautiful Previews but never a New York runway show.  Typing this I realize that I’ve never really shared my fashion related path to creating this Lifestyle blog but I’ll do that soon.  Well, I decided less than 2 weeks ago that this is the year. But I’m not going as an auction winner.  I’m going as a digital publisher/blogger.

My intent is to share with you trends for Spring Summer 17 and to interpret them for myself and you, my valued reader.   I want to be able to be on top of the trends for us both.  As you’ve seen, not everything is wearable in “real life” or is it affordable.  So, yes, it will be a work trip but it will be fun, too, because I’m traveling with one of my dearest friends for many years and fellow blogger, Tanya Foster.

We’ve got a fun line-up of runway shows, behind the scenes opportunities and brand meetings.  I’ll also be with other blogger friends Tiffany of Street Style Squad, Heather of So Heather, Cathy of The Middle Page and Sheree of Sheshe Show.  Be sure to follow along on Instagram and Insta Stories to get the real-time feel for what I’m doing and seeing at NYFW.  I am also excited to try a few new restaurants!  I’m usually the foodie on trips and someone else has made all the reservations.

One of my biggest challenges has been what to wear!  As you well know, funky street style is not my thing nor is that what I’m talking about.  It is Fall and it is HOT in NYC.  How to look good for a long day in warm weather and not melt is my issue!

Here is a sneak peek of what I am packing and a few things I’m still thinking about. I’m an over packer and I’m really trying not to do that this trip.  I’ll be posting on Instagram and linking my outfits for you as well as doing a round of of all the details from the trip soon.
