Happy New Year! I hope that 2016 was a great year for you and your family. While my darling and disciplined husband is a great goal setter, I am not someone who makes a huge list of New Year’s Resolutions…I’m just not good at them. I do, however, think about areas of my life where I’d like to improve or make a few changes. I call it my New Year Reset.
Here are the items on my list this year and I’m already making plans to share them all with you beginning this week!
Exercise – This might be the closest to a resolution…I WILL do something everyday! I’m not a gym gal and really have a hard time making a class because of my girls different schools start times and, frankly, I’m burned out. I’ve made a commitment to walk and run, working up to a 5K “race” by summer and maybe a 10K or 1/2 marathon by year end (motivated by my husband and friends who ran the BMW Marathon last month!) I also will be getting back to my home workouts and will be sharing that and a special guest on Wednesday!
Food – I’ve been in a run and focused on finding easy, healthy dishes for busy nights
Interior Design – I am working on a redecorating our family room (pictured above) and am so excited to share the plans and final product.
Home Organization – Focused this year on my closet, my understairs/party closet, and my office
Beauty – Amp up my beauty routine with new products, tools and treatments. I just had one I can’t wait to share with you!
Relationships – Continue spending quality time with Family and Friends
Travel – Go somewhere I’ve never been – Last year was Whistler (sharing that itinerary very soon!)…this year Scotland and probably somewhere in the US we’ve not been. I am always trying to plan a getaway to Punta Mita, of course!
